PAYMENT & INSURANCE INFORMATION

At Breaking BHAD Counseling, LLC, I offer therapy services to individuals, couples, and families. Below are the details for payment and insurance options:


Fees

  • Individual Sessions: $125 (45-60 minutes)
  • Couples Sessions: $150 (60-90 minutes)
  • Family Sessions: $175 (90 minutes)


Please note: Fees may vary based on the client’s health insurance provider through Grow Therapy or self-pay arrangements. Self-pay clients are charged as listed above.


Insurance

I accept commercial healthcare insurance through Grow Therapy. I do not handle insurance verification or any related communication. If you are a new client and need assistance verifying your insurance or booking an appointment, please contact Grow Therapy directly at (646) 687-9932.


Only commercial healthcare insurance through Grow Therapy is accepted. If you are a self-pay client, you can schedule sessions directly with me by emailing mjakbar@breakingbhad.com or calling 407.900.4825 (feel free to text me as well). Payment must be made via Zelle within 24 hours before the session. Please note that payments are non-refundable.


Payment Expectations

  • I do not offer sliding scale fees or financial assistance.

VIRTUAL SESSION PREP

To ensure the most effective virtual therapy experience, please review these preparation tips:

Technical Preparation

  • Test Your Equipment: Ensure your device is fully charged or plugged in. Test your microphone, camera, and speakers/headphones to make sure they are working.
  • Find a Strong Internet Connection: Choose a location with a stable and fast internet connection. If possible, use a wired connection to minimize the chance of a dropped call.
  • Position Your Camera: Place your camera at eye level to maintain natural eye contact during the session.
  • Have a Backup Plan: In case of connection issues, keep my phone number handy to reconnect.


Environmental Preparation

  • Ensure Privacy: Find a quiet, private space where you won’t be interrupted. Inform anyone around you that you need privacy during the session.
  • Control Your Lighting: Sit in a well-lit area, making sure your face is clearly visible to the therapist. Avoid having a light source behind you.
  • Eliminate Distractions: Turn off phone and computer notifications. Close unnecessary tabs or apps to minimize interruptions.


Mental & Emotional Preparation

  • Set an Intention: Think about the topics or issues you'd like to explore during your session. Setting an intention will help you make the most of your time.
  • Write Down Key Points: Jot down any questions, emotions, or events you'd like to discuss.
  • Transition Time: Schedule a few minutes before and after the session to mentally prepare and process what was discussed.
